Data Recovery
We provide recovery services for failing disk
drives, or corrupted/erased data
on IDE, SCSI, SATA, and Flash Drives with FAT, FAT32, or NTFS file systems.
You should be aware that successful in-house
recovery depends on the root cause of your disk failure:
 | Data Corruption/Loss - This can occur
by various means: Viruses, accidental file deletion, and certain
hardware failures. These failures are where our recovery is most
effective. Among the recoveries we perform are:
 | Deleted, corrupted, or virus-damaged
files, partitions, and boot sectors. |
 | Read errors. |
 | Raw recovery of over 290 file types, even
if the file tables no longer exist. |
 | Microsoft Access and Excel
2.0, 95, 97, 2000, XP and 2003 files. |
 | Microsoft PowerPoint 97, 2000, XP
and 2003 files. |
 | Microsoft Word 6.0, 95, 97, 2000,
XP, and 2003 files. |
 | Microsoft Outlook 97, 98, 2000, XP,
and 2003 files. |
 | Microsoft Outlook Express 5.0 and
later files. |
 | WinZip and ZipMagic files.
|
|
 | Hardware Failures - Drive
electronics, motor, read/write heads, head access mechanism, bearings, and the
disk medium (oxide) make up the list of possible failures. Depending on
which component has failed, and the failure severity, your data can still be
recoverable.
 | In cases where your data cannot be
extracted, we may recommend that you consider sending your disk to a
cleanroom recovery company, such as Ontrack. Cleanroom facilities
allow for your disk platters to be removed, cleaned, and placed in a working
drive. Data recovery is then attempted, and any recovered files are returned
to you, typically on a new drive. Cleanroom recovery services are
usually expensive (several hundred dollars), but offer the best chance of
saving crucial data. |
