Network Cabling

We can install network cabling for you.  Generally, Ethernet Category-5e components for 10Mbps Ethernet and 100Mpbs FastEthernet are most commonly used.  Gigabit Ethernet (Category 6) components are also available if you anticipate a Gigabit network.  We can help with design of larger networks.  In these cases, we prefer "star" topologies which use a central wiring location, or wiring closet, and usually require patch panels for easier configuration and connections.

We are also pleased to assist you with telephone wiring, also known as Category-3 cabling, for one or two-line operations.  Keep in mind that Category-5e,-6 cabling is generally used for telephone installations in new construction these days, and is a good choice for voice and data applications.
