Operating System Update

This option will have your Windows operating system updated with the latest fixes from Microsoft.  Typical updates include "Critical Updates" (which are often security-related), "Recommended/Optional Updates" (enhancements to Windows programs), and "Device Driver Updates" (new drivers released to Microsoft by hardware manufacturers.)

We highly recommend these updates, and can assist in making sure your system is able to load critical updates automatically, if you wish. We don't advise dial-up users to use fully-automatic update, since the update files are often quite large in size.  We suggest that dial-up users change their automatic update options to "notify but not automatically begin download", and users can decide if and when to download.  If the updates are simply too large to download through their modem, we can install the updates for them via diskettes or CD that we will provide.

Plan on 15 minutes to 1 hour for this.
