Computer Tune-up

This option gives your computer a good going-over.  Typically, we look for evidence of any hardware or software problems in your system, and usually correct them on the spot.  Microsoft's latest updates are applied to your operating system, a hard disk cleanup is performed (temporary internet files, offline content, and cookies are removed), and your prefetch* folder is cleared.  Your hard disk is scanned for file system errors, and corrected.  Finally, your hard disk is defragmented.

This service can be done either on-site, or at our lab.

Plan on 1-2 hours for this.

* The prefetch folder is used by Windows operating systems as a fast-lookup directory for program files; over time, this folder can become filled with outdated information.
