Three options for sound restoration are available:
Filtered-Plus:
- Noise is removed seamlessly.
- Two-hour waveform restoration and spectral editing resolves unique issues.
Filtered-Plus is our best restoration, and is well suited for tapes and vinyl discs.
Filtered:
- Noise is removed seamlessly.
Filtered is a good option for all media, including 78-rpm discs. Depending on the condition and recording quality of your media, this level of restoration may be all that's needed for a clean transcription.
Basic:
- This is a direct transcription with no filtering.
Basic is a good option when you'd like to preserve the noise that may exist on your recordings, or when your recordings are especially clean.
Filtered-Plus and Filtered Details:
- Discs - Clicks and crackle are not simply removed; audio material surrounding the defect is analyzed by Algorithmix and precisely-interpolated audio replaces the defect.
- Discs and Tapes - A noise-only section of your recording is sampled and stored as a noise profile. This profile is used to program a special Algorithmix active broadband filter that is remarkable in its preservation and effectiveness.
- Filtered-Plus - Wavelab's Spectral Editing and Waveform Replacement are used to remove unwanted sounds, residual defects, and dropouts. Two hours of restoration work is included.
